  1. In 2018 we started our immigration journey without knowing what the future holds for us. This is the thread that started it all for us. We read copiously and learned a ton in the process. As we conclude our journey, we want to thank everyone for being a part of this process and for contributing in any way possible to its success. We are GRATEFUL!!!!!
  2. Hi Fam! July Filer here. I wasn't able to keep up with the thread but I am glad to say I am finally a US Citizen. Honestly it feels amazing to not have to worry about keeping up with the process and all the headache that comes with it. A big THANK YOU to everyone for their valued contributions and impeccable insights. I am a Proud American and looking forward to doing some great things for our Great Nation.
  3. Hi Fam! I haven't been able to give updates but a lot has happened since I filed my I-751. I am glad to say I finally opted to pick up US citizenship after a long time of reflection. Honestly it feels amazing to not have to worry about keeping up with the process and all the headache that comes with it. A big THANK YOU to everyone for their valued contributions and impeccable insights. I am a Proud American and looking forward to doing some great things for our Great Nation.
  4. January 2022 received a 24 months extension letter. As if that's not long enough, received another letter for a 48 months extension February 2023. Been eligible for citizenship since last October but have not considered that route as I prefer to keep things as they are. My country doesn't accept dual citizenship at this time, unfortunately, so giving up what I have is kind of a bummer as I have strong ties back home. I guess they're hoping I get tired waiting and then file for citizenship somewhere down the line...Lol, based on the trend. Anyways, has anyone who didn't want to file for citizenship had such an excruciatingly long wait for their 10 year GC?
