Judi and I met on-line on Sept 11, 2004. I was seeking a friendship in China as a result of a personal interest and desire to travel to that country. I looked at many profiles and photos. Judi's photo captured my interest right away -
I thought she was lovely and I sensed from her photo that she was a person of good character and intelligence. I contacted her with expectations of nothing more than a friendship. I was in the final stages of a divorce and Judi had been divorced for many years. We began a correspondence that brought us close rather quickly and made us aware of a surprising compatibility in our thoughts and ideas. In December 2004 I made my first trip to China to meet Judi in person. Although her English was rather limited at that time, it was not an insurmountable obstacle and we had a wonderful time together, including a trip to Hainan Island for New Year's. After my return to the US we continued our daily correspondence, learning more about each other every day and sharing our daily experiences. I returned to China in April 2005 (visiting Chengdu and Chongqing in Sichuan Province and Hainan Island again), December 2005 (again visiting Hainan Island for a longer visit), and March 2006 (visiting Hainan Island and Liuyang in Hunan Province where Judi has family).
Our relationship has grown very close and we have found ourselves to be extremely compatible and happy together. In short - we are in love! Judi has been working hard on her English and she has made wonderful progress, so the language difference is no longer a concern.
Following the March 2006 trip to China, we decided to begin the fiance petition process in order to get married and for Judi to come to the U.S. We received our NOA2 K-1 petition approval notice today. We are extremely happy about the way things are working out so far.
