  1. Honestly I actually think the issue could be literally anything at this point. Limited only by the imagination of the Consular Officer reviewing the case. But yes, I do understand that it is truly a public charge issue not proof of having filed taxes. Everything should be fine though so long as they follow their own rules when making a decision, one can only hope. Thank you helping me as always.
  2. Thank you, much appreciated. Well I was slightly worried that they might have some issue with my 2024 tax return 1040 since I wasn't sure if having that is proof enough that I actually filed taxes (because I have no proof of transmission document to IRS). Although it is true that the NVC did documentarily qualify me based on the exact same document as my 2023 tax return in June of 2024. Why am I slightly worried? Having the 221g in the first place is sadly the reason as they were SUPPOSED to accept my 2023 tax return during the interview on Feb 12, but arbitrarily did not and if I am subject to the whims of decision making like that then taking every imaginable precaution seems like all I can do. Now the Federal tax transcript seems as full-proof as I can think of 🙄.
  3. Hi all, My wife got a 221g last Feb 12 during her IR-1 interview and we have since complied and mailed her passport to the US Embassy in Manila and I have uploaded my AoS and 2024 tax return to CEAC as requested. They received her passport last Feb 27 I believe, but otherwise we are still waiting for an update. My question is, a few days ago I decided to also upload my 2024 Federal Tax Transcript even though it was not requested just to make sure we have no problems getting approved. I'm wondering if the Embassy would have checked CEAC already or will they only check once they are ready to make a decision? Thank you!
  4. Hi all, Still waiting for an update from the US Embassy in Manila about my wife's 221g regarding her IR-1 interview after submitting the 2024 Tax Return they required and somehow got an email from the Embassy regarding ANOTHER person's case status. They literally sent me and my wife and the actual correct person (3 different email addresses) an email regarding receiving this person's petition from the NVC. This person has a Case Number similar to my wife's, but slightly different at the end. What do I do lol? Thank you!
  5. Hello, I'm just using this current topic to ask another question if that's okay. 1). I have attached the Document Submission form for the 221g (attached to this question) and there is a line that asks for UID Number, do you know what that is? 2). On the 221g that my wife received (attached at beginning of this thread) it tells us to "Upload Only" the documents that they require, but that my wife must also send her Passport physically to the US Embassy as well. My question is, do I need to include the Document Submission form with the forms I upload to CEAC or is that form only for my wife to use when she mails her passport to the US Embassy? 3). Should I upload the 221g to CEAC as well or is that just for my wife to send with her passport physically? Thank you! IV_Document_Submission_Letter.pdf
  6. I agree and thank you for the help. I will just comply since like others have said it will be faster.
  7. Hi all, Unfortunately my wife got a 221g (see attached) after her IR-1 interview today at the Manila Embassy. Everything was okay until they wanted my 2024 Tax Return. I did not file it yet or include it because I was told on these forums that any interviews prior to April 15 that the most recent tax year required is 2023. I did however, include my W-2's from my employers for 2024 and up to date Paystubs as well. It appears they want my updated Affidavit of Support and my 2024 Tax return uploaded to CEAC, is that seem correct? Anything special I should know about the 221g process and how to make sure and do it right? Thank you!
  8. I'm pretty sure the Affidavit of Support version I sent to my wife is the 2021 version, but her interview is Feb 12 and the USCIS only accepts until Feb 10. I have nothing to update on it, but should I fillout the new 2024 version just to satisfy the requirements? My signed date will be this year instead, which might be strange to them without any changes. Thoughts? Thank you!
  9. Hey all, I have uploaded/updated everything else that they documentarily qualified me for last year for the NVC stage since my wife's IR-1 interview is next week. My question is, would any Evidence of Relationship stuff be required to upload on CEAC as well? I had someone tell me on these forums that my daughter's CRBA would be good evidence since it has both mine and my wife's name on it. Would I upload something like that? Thank you!
  10. Thank you, I figured that was it but I didn't want to assume. For sure, specifics matter.
  11. Hi all, I have access to my 2023 tax transcripts, but it appears that there is about 3 types on the IRS website. There is a "Return Transcript," a "Wage & Income Transcript" and a "Record of Account Transcripts (combines 2 types into one). Which one is the preferred Transcript? My wife is having her IR-1 Interview next week. Thank you!
  12. I would also like to add a question to this because I can't figure out how to edit the original post lol. I just checked my CEAC account for what is allowed to be uploaded and under "Required Documents" there is no button anymore to upload, but the "Supporting/Optional" documents button is available. Would it be ok to upload all my new or updated documents with that button? Thank you!
