  1. Finally just passed my interview at Federal Plaza in NYC. Interview was scheduled for 1.20. I arrived, passed through the security and sat to wait on the 8floor. Quite a few people were waiting also. After about an hour wait my number was called in by a very nice officer. The whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes. Started immediately with the civic questions: What are 2 right in the Declaration of Independence? What is the supreme law of the land? What is the capital of the US? Which is one of the longest running rivers? Self-government idea in the first 3 words? ….and I forgot the last one. than we went on to reading and writing, application yes/no questions and then it was Congratulations, you passed! the easiest process from the beginning! Thank you all For help and support….writing this as I am waiting for the same day ceremony
  2. Finally the day has come! Just this morning I got the notification about an action taken on my case and I am scheduled for an Interview in NYC on September 3rd at 1.40. Right after we come back from our trip thank goodness. My biggest fear was possibly having to reschedule this interview and taking forever.
  3. Filed February 29th in NYC under 5-year and still waiting too.
  4. True. I kinda feel left out in the group, since so many are done with the interview and I’m still waiting 🕰️ 😁
  5. Congratulations on all that had their successful interviews! Hoping to hear something soon. I can’t wait to get it over with and I keep seeing people from NYC getting interviews that applied close to my file date. 🤞🏼
  6. Still waiting to get a notification for an interview. Applied 2/29. I don’t particularly care that it takes longer, but I was hoping I’d get it already, considering some people in NYC had gotten their appointments already and applied not that much earlier. Plus with summer trips planned I didn’t want the interview/oath to be too close to the trip and the fact that I’d need to get a passport.
  7. I know you have to register if you were under 26 at the time. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter the age at which you are now. Here’s a link I found. Hopefully it is helpful. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. https://www.sss.gov/register/men-26-and-older/
  8. Still waiting here. NYC filed February 29th. I thought I’d hear by now but nothing so far.
  9. Congrats! My turn should be coming soon. Filed a week after you
  10. Congrats. So I’ll be waiting for my turn in the next 2-3 weeks
  11. Congratulations! NYC here also, Brooklyn. I applied a month after you. So hopefully the end of this month I get one too!
  12. I applied under the 5 year rule and I did not upload anything extra besides the required documents
  13. Hi, Everyone. NYC here. Applied for citizenship on February 29th after having GC for 7 years already. USCIS is actively working and I saw Biometrics reuse, which I didn’t think will happen considering how long ago was the last time. So far it went from 9 months to 6 months approximately.
