Our Story
I started learning chinese and posted a web-page with some chinese about myself on the old MSN personal pages. My fiance was looking at there for the first time ever and saw my page first. She sent me an e-mail that asked simply "chinese?" We talked through e-mail everyday, then through web-cam, and then when i went to study in china for a month, she traveled 15 hours by train to come stay with me for 2 weeks. I returned to spend my winter holiday in china with her in 2005 and proposed to her. She was denied for a visitor visa, so we decided to get married in America and now are waiting on a K1 visa to get married and live here for 2 years before i move to china permanently. She originally was to only live here for 6 months, but because she was denied a temporary visa, we have to get married so she can come. What's wrong with the system???? It appears it is set up to keep people out, but in order to visit the US, people have to get married to come. ?!?!?!?!? oh, and my fiance will not be getting her citizenship. it's just really irritating and this whole process has made really even more horribly cynical than i already am.
