July 26, 2016 - submitted online request to update last name on I-130 at https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do ('typographic error')
August 9, 2016 - update on USCIS website/app: "Your request to correct an error on your document or notice, referral number XXXX, was assigned to an officer for response."
August 10, 2016 - update on USCIS website: "Your request to correct an error on your document or notice was completed."
August 29, 2016 - Text from USCIS with notification that my case had an update. Website/app now show: "We updated your name for your form I-130."
Sept 21, 2016 - Text from USCIS - case APPROVED!
Sept 30-ish, 2016 - Received approval notice (NOA2) in standard mail
Oct 13, 2016 - Email from USCIS stating case has been sent to NVC for visa processing.
Oct 19, 2016 - Case received by NVC
Oct 27, 2016 - Called NVC, who advised that the case # had been assigned that day. Received case # and IIN from the agent.
Oct 28, 2016 - submitted Choice of Agent form DS-261 online
Oct 28, 2016 - Called NVC to give them my email address for the welcome letter. They advised it may take up to 4 weeks to receive via standard mail.
