I met Pete October of 2005 in a chat room on a UK friends/dating site a few days after I joined the site. We talked online and he called me on the phone a couple times. I was completely against all this computer dating stuff and scoffed at the idea people could meet this way (notice I was still going to the sites though). By December I had changed my mind about the whole dating thing...Pete and I started talking about meeting. March 2006 we were able to meet in London for the first time. We had a blast! Although we were rather nervous we still managed to set our fates in the same direction. We knew we had to plan for him to come over here. In May of 2006 he came over to the US and met my daughter and my parents. (let me tell you he was a hit!) We had originally thought for me to move to the UK, but after him seeing my beautiful Washington, he changed his mind (good thing too cause I was going to suggest it while he was here...he beat me to the punch). We knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and although we were not officially engaged we wanted to start getting the ball rolling by filing for our Fiance Visa. My daughter and I spent 3 wonderful months with Pete in the UK, and on Sept 30 at Beaumaris Castle in N. Wales, he proposed officially. Pete entered the US April 2 and we were married April 27.
