Our Story
Started by filing K1 Visa in April '06 with the over optimistic hope of getting it by our planned wedding date in November. The process was taking too long due to IMBRA etc, and we also weren't sure how well things would work out afterwards as I couldn't work for a few months till EAD came through etc, and ideally I wanted to be able to do that ASAP. Got married in the UK in August, cancelled K1 visa, restarted with CR1 application in September.
I emigrated over on a CR1 Sept 25th 2007, successfully got my IR1 in 2009, enlisted into the Army National Guard 2010, and got my US Citizenship on my Birthday that year!
