I was Au Pair for a family in Virginia. I arrived at the family June 2013, december 2013 I decided to extend with the same family a half year! Then may 2014: One day I had my Danish friends over for a "hygge" evening. One of the girls said that I had to try the dating app "Tinder". That first evening of having that app I found Kevin! Short after our match he wanted to meet up with me, so we met at a bar in Old Town - Alexandria. It was love at first sight! Ever since that day we hung out every weekend, I've met his dad and stepmom who lives in North Carolina and met his mom several times who also lives in Maryland. In September we decided that we couldn't live without each other and send in the papers a month later. In December we went on vacation to Maui - Hawaii. He proposed to me on the most beautiful "black sand beach" on "the road to Hana" it was the most beautiful place I've ever seen and the most beautiful ring! Think that you can fall in love twice ;) I left America on dec 18th.. Very sad! Now that I'm back in Denmark I wished that I had stayed and gotten married to him and just changed my visa.. But that's too late now.. I hope we can have a nice summer wedding, maybe in July or August ! He is coming to visit me in February, and I get to show him Denmark :D He is the love of my life, and I cant wait to spend every day for the rest of my life with him :D
