DJ and I met at the regional fair in Panama while I was serving in the Peace Corps. I met him my first weekend in my community and it was quite literally love at first site. I was with friends at a discoteca and he happened to have attended high school with one of my friend's host sister. Although we didn't speak nearly the entire night the next morning he asked the mutual friend for my number and we spent the following weekend having a barbecue on one of the neighboring islands near my town. From that moment on we were inseparable, its been nearly two years now and my service is coming to a close, he proposed on christmas eve of this year but we had decided we wanted to get married much earlier. I will be returning to DC in April and hopefully if all goes well he will be following shortly after!
