  1. Chicago oath ceremony scheduled for March 13! That was much quicker than it seems to have been at the end of last year.
  2. My interview was today at the Chicago Field Office. It was really smooth and everyone was really nice! My husband was able to come in with me and wait which was an unexpected but nice surprise. Questions I was asked: 1. What territory did the United States buy from France in 1803? 2. Who makes federal laws? 3. We elect a president for how many years? 4. What did Martin Luther King Jr. do? 5. The idea of self government is in the first three words of the constitution. What are these words? 6. What is the name of the president now? I don't remember the sentence I read out loud, but my writing test was "Washington was the first president". She helped me with a name change that I didn't realize I needed, and we changed two things since I applied: a trip over Christmas and that I am still a member of a work union. She was really lovely and made me feel comfortable. She had my file open on her desk, and it had all of my immigration paperwork back from my K-1 visa. It was fun to see paperwork I hadn't seen in years! I wouldn't have realized it but I recognized the colourful tabs I used to organize all the different parts. The officer said they are currently scheduling oath ceremonies for March, so we will see.
  3. No, mine is just for N-400. Double checked and still no change for me.
  4. Congratulations!! My interview is supposed to be on 2/15 at the Chicago Field Office. I just checked online and nothing has changed for me so far. I'll update if something does.
  5. Me too! I was away visiting family and had no idea. The only notification that tipped me off to check was this post coming to my email, so I checked my status online and had the same thing. Thanks for sharing your update! Once I arrived back home my letter was in the mail. Filed based on 5 year LPR. Filed/Biometrics: October 9, 2022 Letter: December 27, 2022 Interview: February 15, 2023 Looks like there are a few of us with that same interview date. See you all there 😆
  6. I am loving all of these updates! I guess the Chicago office is slow because literally nothing has changed in my application since I applied on October 9 haha.
