After following each other on various social media platforms for just under 2 years, Abi finally mustered up the courage I never had and took the first step - sneakily asking for my facebook profile so she could stalk/message me. Proving herself to be more patient and wonderful than I ever thought was possible from another person, Abi spent the first few months of our relationship helping me through a very rough time. The effort that took from a distance is beyond comprehension, and it was within this hard time we realized we were meant to be. Love like this doesn't just happen, and we should be thankful every day - forever - to have found it.
September 16th, 2014 marked not only the date we sent in our I-129F - the first step towards getting our K-1 fiance visa - but also the happiest day of my life up until this point. I can only hope that there are other people out there lucky enough to experience a love like ours, or even just to have the privilege of encountering a human being as special as Abi. I feel bad for the rest of earth's population, because as far as I'm concerned, I'll be spending the rest of my days with a woman who puts the other 7 billion+ of us to shame.
