  • Our Story
I met my Fiancée (Melissa), in new york. The date we met was 8/13/2010.
We began chatting and found that we both were of the same religion (Jehovah's witnesses).
After confirming this fact, which is really important in our faith, we found other things in common and began dating. We are both really compatible, and we both came from Latin backgrounds. My mother being Hispanic, and her family in Latin America. we used Google translate a lot, to understand deep thoughts, as we were both learning a new language, her English and I Spanish.

In 11/02/2010 I had no money(working as a volunteer fulltime), coupled with the great scare of this immigration paper work, and stress that long distance brought, feeling like our relationship would be impossible, we went our separate ways.
she married a man that had proposed marriage to her.
He was unfaithful to her twice, which caused separation and their eventually divorce. We had small chats off and on, but in 2/7/2014 we really began talking again, she had separated with her mate and was waiting for her divorce papers.

After learning of what he had done, my heart was broken, I decided that I would do everything possible to be with her, and marry her. On June 6th 2014 I flew on Jet blue to see her arrive at the airport , from her return trip from Europe. I was waiting in the Medellin Airport in the country of Colombia for her to arrive. You can see our video on youtube.com (search: kevin meli ).During this time we spent everyday together, I met her friends, her family and gave a public bible discourse in her congregation. I met her congregation elders and asked about her qualities and her divorce, they confirmed all I had understood, that she was an amazing woman. She took me to see various places in Medellin, I was with her until Wednesday June 11th, 2014.

We knew that from that point on, we had to be married. I purchased tickets to see her again July 18th, 2014. I proposed Marriage to her on July 19th at a gathering with her family and close friends. we are now publicly engaged. I stayed for ten days until July 28th, 2014.

She will use her U.S. tourist visa to travel in October 2nd to New York, where we will drive across country for her to meet my parents. She is planning on staying until October 31st. She is my best friend, and soul mate. We deeply Love and respect each other.

We plan to be married in Oregon, U.S.A. hopeful of the of date March 7.
