Dear VisaJourney Community, I opened the I-130 since Dec 2019 for my brother (born in 1992) and his family (his wife-born in 1992, his daughter born in 2018, his son born in 2022). His family except his son travelled to the US in 2023. Now his whole family (all 4 members) is granted travel visa renewal. Today I saw in the online account, USCIS updated "Estimated time until case decision 16 months". Does it mean they are reviewing his case and will give the decision within 16 coming months? Anybody has experience regarding this notice? I have heard that is not good news since they will start counting the age of his children. And his case will still take 12-15 years more to process before his family can move to America. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much @OldUser and @Dashinka! My due date is August 3, 2024. My mom left the US on July 8, 2023. As @Dashinka mentioned, she can come back to the US even within July 8, 2024 to my due date? It would pass her one year mark of leaving the country. But she already has the reentry application. She gets so bored if coming here and has nothing to do, just waiting for the baby to be born lol :)) I am considering time to book a flight for her! Thanks so much again for your time!

Dear amazing Visajourney community, Happy new year to you all! My mom has a US green 10 year green card. She applied for I-131 Reentry Permit on 02.17.2023, and got her biometrics done on 03.21.2023. We haven't heard anything or received any reentry approval permit document from the USCIS since then. She flew back to our home country, Vietnam in July 2023 and is living there since then. Since I will give birth in the summer, my mom plans to come back to the US before my delivery to help me here. Do you guys know if it is okay for her to come back to the US when she hasn't got her reentry approval? I heard it may take 2 years to get it. Which documents will she need to show the Home Land Security at the airport to get in the US? She only has her green card and the receipt of I-131 biometrics. Thank you so much for your help!

Dear amazing Visajourney community, I wonder if there is any faster way to bring my brother + his wife (both born in 1992)+ their daughter (5 years old)+ their son (almost 1 year old) faster to the US under immigration visa: - I opened the I-130 for them since Dec 2019 (brother of US citizen). Based on my research, it will take from 10-15 years to get processed. - My brother +his wife+ their daughter passed tourist visa to visit me in the US recently. They just visited me and came back to Vietnam 3 weeks ago. After this trip, they love living in the US and would like to find a faster way to move here. My mom is an US permanent resident. My dad already passed away. We have such a small family, just my brother and I. We really hope to reunite in the US faster. My mom can't speak English, so the chance to wait for her become an US citizen and sponsor my brother's family is very low, esp her income is very low, too She was born in 1964, waiting for her to get the citizenship test in Vietnamese will take a while. We don't think we can rely on her to sponsor my brother and his family. - I think about EB3 visa but my brother has a Master and his wife has a bachelor degree. It seems like they are not unskilled workers. Do you have any ideas about this case? I am thinking about checking with the Attorney for: -How much it costs? -Can they guarantee that my brother's family can immigrate to the US faster? How long is the wait? My mom is an US green card holder. She moved to the US on Oct 2022 from Vietnam. She missed home so much, and wanna go back to Vietnam until I give birth to my baby. (Which we are hoping in 1-2 coming years). So on Jan 2023, I applied the reentry permit for her I-131, Application for Travel Document so that she can stay in Vietnam for 2 years, and no trouble for coming back to the US. She got her biometrics done on March 2023. We have been waiting and no further information from the USCIS so far. I did some research and it may take a couple of months. Is it okay if she comes back to Vietnam on July 2023 before receiving her re-entry permit I131 approval? My brother is coming to the US, so she wants to go back to Vietnam with her. She doesn't speak English at all and scared of long flights by herself. Thank you so much for your help!

Hi, everyone. I am trying to apply for re-entry permit for my mom. She has 10 year green card and would like to travel outside of the US for about 1 year. After researching, I found the form I-131. It says that I can file online or send mail but I can't file the online link at all. I will have to print out everything and send to USCIS Mailbox center? Thank you so much!
