We met playing an online game, initially our friendship was discussing strategies about the game. Over time our chats became more personal and we found that we had both recently been through personal relationship issues (break ups with previous partners). We then found the strength in each other to get over these problems and found ourselves looking forward to talking to each other. It was actually one of Erica's friends Katie whom asked if we were officially an item. I called her (ignoring my soon to be high mobile phone bill) and asked what she thought about trying a long distance relationship. We decided to give it a go! That was on 26th June 2012. we have been together since. Yes we have had a few "doubters", "Why can't you find someone in this country? , Are you sure?" etc Even Erica's own mother constantly asking "Are you sure you love my daughter?" But here we are three years on and although it is tough at times i personally couldn't be happier, I feel that Erica brings out the best in me and cannot wait to do that by her side as her husband. Thanks to all that help us through this process and i wish all of you all luck in your applications! and remember no question is a stupid question, I still get very confused over a lot of things "American" but i have my rock in Erica patiently explaining as she needs to :D
