Now living overseas with wife, planning a June wedding here, while awaiting the NVC to finish up this ordeal of a wait and get her an interview at the Embassy.
My life and work back in the States are on hold until I see that my wife gets her visa approved. It's a little tough, but a good life experience for me in Japan, since it is a wonderful country, despite feeling like a foreigner. I recommend everyone to visit here at least once.
Had the interview at the US Embassy in Tokyo on June 2, 2014 - it was a bit of a wait once inside. My wife said the questions were easy except a series of embarrassing ones about my prior relationship. Not fair, but in the end a visa was issued.
