  1. Just got through with my oath ceremony! So happy to be through with my visa journey! and a big thank you to everyone here who has helped with my questions throughout the whole process. and a good luck to those still waiting, hope you have some positive news soon! 😊
  2. Took me about 6 months to get my interview. September-April. I know how you feel as on my filing date thread there were lots of people who had their notice within a few months. Don’t worry, you’ll get your date soon!
  3. With a stylus pen. I also wrote in capital letters rather than cursive as my witting isn’t the best (added to the fact that writing on a tablet also makes my handwriting worse vs pen and paper too). So I tried to be as clear as possible. I had to sign a couple of screens too with the stylus and tablet. Another thing to add - don’t press any buttons on the screen (like accept or continue) unless request to do so! Do exactly as the officer says (e.g. sign your name, then stop), if they don’t say anything or move the screen on automatically for you, ask before doing anything further. During my interview there was a lot of long pauses (almost uncomfortably so). I just figured they were reviewing my responses or looking through my documents online. But they definitely didn’t want me doing anything unless instructed.
  4. I just had my test on Monday and it was pretty straight forward, took about 10 mins. The English tests were pretty straightforward. For the writing I was told a sentence “who was the first president” several times and had to write it down on a tablet. And for the reading there was a sentence on the screen “George Washington was the first president” and had to read it out. Nothing too complicated. The civics piece was just learning the 100 questions from the official flash cards online, but it sounds like you got that covered. I was just asked 6 and then we moved on to the English reading/writing section. I took a copy of what I had submitted for my N400 as well as the documents on my letter (passports, birth certificate for spouse, marriage license). But wasn’t asked for any of it. I had to put it all in a box behind me as I did the video interview and was never asked to produce it. Was good to have it, just in case. But it doesn’t seem like they need anything other than what is listed on the letter. The only thing that took me off guard was questions regarding to the oath itself after I had passed everything else. They asked why I wanted to become a citizen. Nothing too complicated, just didn’t expect to be asked so had to come up with an answer on the spot when I wasn’t really prepared (and probably a little stressed - as it’s a big interview!). But he was overall happy with my answer and moved on to the next questions. All I can add is maybe just read the room? I read a lot of people’s experiences on here with their interview and said how it was very informal and a friendly chat/conversation. I tried to go into more detail when asked how many children I have. (We have another on the way next month), so I tried to be friendly and let them know, then he shot be down (a little stern) and just wanted to know the facts (as of now). So after that I just gave concise and to the point answers, which moved the interview on quickly, but was very formal. Not bad or anything, just very formal. Just wanted to add my experience in case it is of any help to you!
  5. Had my interview today and passed! Was pretty quick process overall - was in and out in about 30 minutes (And that is including being there 15 mins early for the appointment.) Happy to be at the final stage of my journey! 😄
  6. Just checked and saw that I got my interview date! April 10th!!!! That’s came as a shock as I looked yesterday and no change, just checked a few minutes ago and saw “interview was scheduled”. So happy to finally have a date! Now I have to get back to studying! 😄
  7. Thanks! I was right, it is New Orleans. Which sucks a little as the previous field office was 16 months, NO is 26 months the last I checked. Oh well!! 😄
  8. Quick question - living in Mississippi, my local office would be New Orleans correct? Just want to make sure I’m looking at the correct estimated time by office. I figured it would be somewhere closer. congratulations to all the recent completions! I bet you are all thrilled to be (almost) done with the whole process!!
  9. Yeah the I-751 was approved back in 2019. It’s had the same status listed for the past 4 years so it was just a surprise to see it change (wishful thinking I guess lol 😁). I figured it probably meant nothing
  10. My old I-751 that hasn’t had any changes since it got completed in 2019 is now showing as: “Your case status is unavailable at this time. We are working to get you accurate information as soon as possible.“ Do you think that means anything? Maybe movement on the N-400 or likely means nothing? lol. Just weird that it hasn’t changed in years for it now to suddenly update to a new message 😄
  11. You’re in the same situation as me by the sounds of it. I already did my ROC some time ago too. for the N400 all I’ve done so far is my biometrics, but haven’t heard anything since! My status online is just saying they are working on it and hasn’t moved since October.
  12. Congrats to all those who recently have got their interviews scheduled/completed!! Happy for you all, that is a great way to wrap up the year and the holiday season!! I’m also I’m the situation where I completed my biometrics in October and not a peep since! I find it hard not to check the website almost daily.. I try not to! But when you see others are getting their interview notices it’s hard not to!! 😄 The waiting is the worst part right now.. if I had the interview date, even if it was 10 months out, I wouldn’t mind! It’s just the not knowing that is killing me lol! It would just be nice to know so you can plan and get situated/ready for the thing!
