Hi all, I know this is a forum for moving to the US. My question is the opposite, my USC husband will be moving back to the PH with me, a USC and PH citizen. We are looking to apply for his 13A at the Chicago PH embassy. I looked that the PH embassy website and they only show the requirements but no instructions so here goes my questions. 1. Can I use my NSO issues birth certificate and marriage certificate? We got married in the Philippines and I don't have PSA issued one yet. 2. Which address should I mail the requirements and is there a prefered courier? 3. Are there specific instructions to put in the addressee to identify that it is a visa application? 4. How long does it take before we get a decision? I hope anyone with experience can shed some light. Thank you!

Hi all, I hope you’re all doing well. I’m back asking for your input. I petitioned for my siblings and the petition is now approved and in NVC and the MNL case has been created. The visa availability is still decades away. My sister got divorced. Anyone here knows how I can update her name and status in her approved petition? I appreciate your help.

Just wanted to share an update. I also received the third and last NVC email for my beneficiaries. It came a day late but it came nonetheless. They were sent out of order too. The petitions were filed in different dates but within 30 days but approval and NVC case creation came in on random orders.

I will. My gosh, I will be checking this site for the next 30 years lol Right??? So far, I received the emails for the two siblings. But all of them were sent to NVC yesterday based on the USCIS case status.

Yesterday, I received a case status update from Case Status Online - Case Status (uscis.gov) with this message. But I thought it was just a standard procedure since the petition was approved. Here is the email we received today.

Yes, 2020. I have not logged in to the CEAC, it says it will be available within 72 hours Oh okay. I'll reach out to NVC to check with them lol

Hi all, so I just received an email from NVC on the creation of the NVC Case telling me to check the status and pay the necessary fees. The email is addressed to my beneficiaries. The case is an MNL case and has an Inv number. Is this a standard procedure? It also says in the email that if the beneficiaries do not log in CEAC for a year, the visa application will be terminated. In addition to the above question, my sister is going through annulment and will revert back to her maiden name. How do I update her name to reflect her maiden name in the petition/visa application once the annulment is approved? Thank you so much!
