Met on POF online dating site, after emailing, phone and Skype, made fast airline ticket purchase. On fifth day after meeting came marriage proposal. We are both mature adults and know what we want (love and companionship). We met twice in Hong Kong. Now we wait for dental work, fiance visa and USA meeting.
This is our second K1 visa application, that's reason for fast approval (I think). We lost time and money because we had to wait for the Philippine annulment process. We didn't know she was legally married, it is very easy to check with the Phil. gov of your status. (Many older people were married but asked the priest that the marriage not be recorded.) If there's a previous marriage involved, make sure, if you are a Filipino, that everything is legally ready. This may not apply for many countries but you won't go to the USA without meeting the Philippine gov. laws. Thank God for Skype, makes the waiting easier.
