We met each other in April of 2005 when I flew out from NYC to SLC to attend a nursing job fair. Edgar was my shuttle driver from the airport! We hung out quite a bit over the few days I was in SLC and had soooo much fun together! After graduating from nursing school in NYC, I came to be with Edgar. We lived together from June to the end of September of 2005. We had a "falling out" and I left at the end of September 2005. We exchange very brief emails only twice over the six years apart. I did my best remove Edgar from my memory. But in 2011 I came out to Utah to attend a several weeks-long retreat and decided to contact him to heal old hurts. I thought it would just be a couple of hours for lunch, if I could find him. Well, I did find him-- he was still in SLC (not married, not deported, etc.) When we met at his house, it was as if we had never stopped knowing each other. We simply and smoothly picked up where we left off, but now with much more understanding and maturity. Every aspect of our relating was ripe to move forward in the most committed way (unlike back in 2005). We lived together for about 9 months before getting married and filing for him. Let's hope the AOS works out! Otherwise we're in for some unplanned international living arrangements!
