I entered without inspection in the year 1996, I was only 6 years old. My mother met and married my father (stepfather) in 1999. Who is an American born in Memphis,Tennessee . In the year 2001 he filed for me and my mother when he saw the opportunity for the deadline on 245-I , funny because my mother mentioned she was the one that didn't want to follow through with it because we had TPS, but my father is a very smart man! Needless to say our I-130 was almost immediately approved , because of our financial situation they couldn't finish the process and 2 years later I lost my TPS , my father made really bad choices and ended up in prison on a life sentence in 2004. Sadly this whole time I could've been in this country legally, but because of the bad advice the Honduras general consul provided my mother we never did anything to proceed with our immigration journey. It wasn't until my baby's father was facing removal proceedings that by pure chance I mentioned the I-130 petition my father had previously filed that all my immigration problems were immediately resolved! Sadly all I went through was in vain all because of bad advice and our naive state of mind! So here I am starting my journey once again thank god everything is going smoothly! May god bless us all in this process!
