I am the Canadian! My fiance is an American. We met when I was 17 years old in 2002, attending his cousin's wedding. We exchanged phone numbers and that was about all. He is older and was divorced with a young daughter. We talked on the phone over the years but that was about it. He shatted my heart when he got back together with his wife. We lost contact completely. Horray, things didn't work out for him and the wife and they seperated once again. Fast forward to 2006. He bribes his cousin to contact my parents and ask for my phone number. They know we are friends and immediately gives her the number. She passes it on to him. We talk and when things didn't work out with my current man, he came to visit me. And the rest is history! We are blessed to see each other very very often.
If God is on our side, He will bless us with a wedding on the 10-year date that we met at the exact same restaurant where we met! <3
