  1. Of course it's true. That's why Sharia law divorce is not a practical means of divorce if you were married as a Christian. They will reject it
  2. Sometimes around there yes.
  3. Before Duterte this was a very common thing to do for many Christian people trying to get a divorce that were married in the Philippines. They would " convert to Islam" get a divorce under Sharia law, and then be good to go so that they can be petitioned by a fiance or get married in the Philippines again. But during duterte's presidency he asked the embassy to deny people that did that, so since then the US embassy has been denying people that have done this. So it is not a valid way to get a divorce in the Philippines anymore if you aim to be petitioned by a fiance or future spouse.
