Everyone looks down upon online dating, until they find their perfect match... This was both my husband and I's mentality. I worked crazy hours and church offered some options, but never someone with all the qualities I was hoping for... Finally I took the plunge... Believe me, there is a stereotype for a reason. Some of those "onliners" were creepy! lol
After meeting a couple of great people, but never really finding that person you instantly "click" with, I changed my looking status to "friends/pen pals" and gave it to God (which is what I should have done in the begining)...
A few days after I received an email from a guy. He was witty and cheesy... which I replied, I don't want to lead you on. I'm just looking for friends right now, but I'd love to keep chatting.... And his reply was perfect... it was along the lines of - "well that's good news cause I wasn't expecting to get married today, but maybe this weekend? lol". I had to laugh, finally someone who could joke around... That was in November of 2009.
Today we are married, and it is a dream come true. :)
The only thing that could make it better is to actually be able to live with him permanently lol. The countdown is on!!!!!!!!!
