I have a dear friend who moved to Cali over 16 years ago – I flew over and spent Christmas 2009 with her – she introduced me to her friends on Christmas day – we went to my now partners house for Christmas day drinks after dinner – we second looked each other! There was something there but we both thought nothing of it. We all decided to go into San Francisco for New Years and this is where me and my fiancé started to grow very fond of one another! I left on the 3 Jan 2010 to go back to my life having spent an amazing 3 days with an awesome guy!! We kept in touch via Facebook and spoke on the telephone from the day I landed to date!! Our meetings listed below:
March 2010 - New York (we both flew half way)
June 2010 - London and Paris (he came to see me in London)
August 2010 - San Jose, San Francisco and Las Vegas
November 2010 – San Jose - I flew over to spend his 30th birthday together
March 2011 New York – (we both flew half way again) he proposed!! The best trip of my life!
June 2011 - San Jose
October 2011 San Jose (I took my parents over with me on this trip so both families could meet)
Now my fiancé and his family are hoping to come over to London in February so we can have our Sikh traditional engagement and finally have an engagement party!!
All our meetings, FaceTime chats (thanks Steve Jobs/Apple), emails and gifts in the mail!! I loved it – I love him!
Now I can't believe our future is sitting on someone's desk! In fact it's been sitting there for 4 months now! The wait is agonising but patience is virtue and unselfish!!
