What vaccinations are needed?

We're now applying for AOS from a K1. I'm getting the same run around from the civil surgeons as everyone else does about needing another exam. My wife received some shots from the embassy approved doctor to get her k1 but now my question is: Does anyone know what shots are needed for AOS that are to be shown on the I-693A supplement sheet?

I called 2 civil surgeons yesterday and they both told me I needed different shots, not to mention that both said that we'd need another exam. So I'd like to know what shots are needed, so we can shop around and get them at the cheapest available place and then have that doc in Austin transfer them to the I-693A for $10.

I am in the same situation. I called couple of civil surgeons in Atlanta area. The test prices are between $125-$300 without shots.

Some of them don't do shots at all, some of them want extra $150 for shots.

So I called the local health department for the price of shots. One of them said that Td and MMR shots are $14 each and I need to take 1 dose of Td and 2 doses of MMR. The other said 3 doses of Td ($14 each) and 2 doses of MMR ($55 each)

Do I need to take multiple doses of any vaccine? Some civil surgeons said they give only one dose.

I am little confused about this :)

Thanks for the responses, I was really getting frustrated!!

Anyway I have some links that might give you out there ammunition when the civil surgeons tell you that you need to get this vaccination and that vaccination etc....

Here are the instructions per the CDC for civil surgeons to follow. Towards the end there is the table listing what vaccinations you need depending on your age:

Nazuspe, stop being frustrated! :)

Use the spredsheet Emo posted, make the list of the ones your wife needs as per her age. Then tell her to go to your family doctor and ask for a refferal to do a blood work do determine her immunity for the specific vaccines she should have. Once she gets her immunity confirmed by your family doc, your wife can go to a civil surgeon and ask them only to transcribe data on I-693A form.

I know I've read many people here say they paid CS only 10-15 bucks for that! Not for shots, but only filling out form.

I myself didn't do any of that, just submitted the copy I got at the medical in Sydney. I was never asked for more!

Good luck!

Even more. I told my fiancé then to bring the form I-693A to the doctor’s office in her home country after completing the medical exam. The physician transfer the vaccinations to the form and later we submit it to the AOS package.

We didn’t receive RFE.
