This is pretty common. 'First come, first serve' seems to be a term they like to toss around, but it really doesn't mean anything.

Im sure it is...but we still would like to have a thread to gather to vent, find support...if you are looking to offer support you are more than welcome...I see you are completed pretty much...Congratulations...but I really intended this to be for those June filers still waiting that want and need support.

Hi amrssnowangel thank you for starting this, I have very similar timelines to yours. As far as I know we can file a congressional enquiry(is this the right term?) only after 6 months. We have all the details on whom to contact from the other thread but we were planning to do this on 13th December. I understand you can do this earlier too?

I called my senator today...they want me to fax my authorization. She said they have gotten ALOT of complaints on this issue...hmmm...go figure.

I wouldnt wait. Its close enough, and its not just about the 6 month mark but about others being processed out of turn.

I asked my congressman to look into my case, and got a positive but unhopeful reply. It is currently with an adjudicator. It may take a week or a month to be processed. VSC states it is within current working goals. Don't write back until the New Year.

I really don't want to go to Christmas and have to tell my nosy family I STILL don't know. *sigh*

Hi folks! As you can see in timeline, and to be honest with you i dont even know where i belong to. There is no thread for K1 APRIL filer and therefor im very happy that Armssnowangel started this one. At least it makes me feel a bit better. I have been waiting for a looooooooooooooog time and still not approved yet but im not gone give up the hope. I already set up the letter to our congress people and Senator Webb. If we dont hear anything until monday, we will sent the letters to them. When we started this process i never thought that it'd be this hard. I am known as a very patient and happy person but this journey is getting too much for me. I try to stay positiv every day and pray but sometimes i just get weak. I dont know what to think or do anymore. Every night i will for my daughter to go to bed and then cry all night with the bible in my hands. Lord help us through this tough time, yes you have your time for everything but how much more can we take? Sorry guys im just loosing it again, this whole thing is taking all my positiv energy out of me.

PS: Armssnowangel, thanks for starting this thread! :crying::crying::crying:

I got the impression that the person that called parroted to me what VSC Customer Service told her. I knew that it was with an adjudicator, but the person I spoke to at VSC Customer Service several days ago said the same thing. It didn't go to someone yesterday, if they had it on Monday. I might try and email the ombudsman if I don't see anything by the 10th.

I jsut shot an email to ombudsman with my numbers...that 67% only are completed for June with 40% completed for July and they are starting late july early aug. I just got an automated reply...we can't email that email address...has to on a form...and mailed and can take up to 45 days to be completed. :crying: :crying: It shouldnt take up to a month to complete a file..that is just insane.

We all have weak moments....HUGS HUGS HUGS...thats why I wanted to start this..but wished I had called it something else to encompass ANYONE that feels left behind. I know how you feel...and i've not been waiting nearly as long as you...your 60 day mark is almost over. I'd be making those calls and letters...just seems there is NO one to help...NO where to turn...I feel helpless....and its soo hard watching others get theirs...how have u been watching all this time and not just lost it?

Well, this is our place...positive, negative, venting, crying, hugging....

Just wanted you all to know you have cheerleaders on the sidelines routing you on and praying for the speedy approvals to come rolling in!

I'm so sorry you are all having to wait so long.

I know you don't want to take anything away from others who filed later being approved but it's still got to be so hard to see. My heart goes out to all of you.

I'm looking at up to a year or more before my man can come home to me so I can relate to that frustration but there's not much more I can do about that and what you all are going through is just wrong. There should be an order to things.

Best of luck to you all.
