Here is a word of advice for all who have a similar time line to mine and have not seen any action at all with their petition.

I have been waiting patiently for my NOA2 and today I just had to call to find out what the he!! was going on. I called using the "RFE Trick" and spoke to the sweetest lady possible. I gave her my receipt number and then she asked my name, when I gave her my name, she repeated the receipt number I gave her and I confirmed that it was correct. She then asked my fiancee's name and she sounded a bit perplexed, she said the receipt number I gave her was not mine......................LOL.....I really did laugh and I told her "Feces Occurs", that got a chuckle out of her.

She asked for some personal information and was able to provide me with the CORRECT receipt number and was also tell me that my petition was now with an officer. She said that she was going to make the officer aware of the incorrect receipt number. Phew..........

Now, my next step is to make damn sure that they issue me a NEW NOA1 with the correct receipt number since it will be needed for the interview at the embassy. I hope getting a new NOA1 is not a fricken hassle since it was THEIR ERROR.

Good luck to all of you.

TRULY SAD, but it happens, look how many applications that are being filed now and worked there has been like a 500 to 1000% increase in K1 files since 2000, they are like most government workers, underpaid, understaffed and overworked and treated like dirt by everyone from their supervisor to the general public they deal with, so no it does not suprise me, actually suprised there is not more of this. Good luck hang in there and make sure you get name of person you talk to each time, id #, time and date.

I'm glad you got it cleared up but your NOA1 is not needed at the visa interview. The NOA2 is needed for the AOS filing. Make sure you gaurd that with your life.

Thanks, Pushbrk. Great reminder for people not to send their fiancee the original copy of the NOA2 for the interview.
