So we finally sent the papers to CSC yesterday.......

Can someone tell me how we get our case number and how we find out when we were "touched"?

Also what are the chances that Processing Times go down again and go back to 90 days instead of 132 for CSC?

We had planned on getting married May 17th..........is that still possible?

When you recive NOA1 that is you recite #. Then go here https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectuser...LDkPqCe4kNQHdwr and register. Don't forget to enter your recite # and then you can always check and see if you get touched. Just log in here https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp

For me it took excecly 1 month to get NOA1

10/22/08 => Package sent to USCIS

10/29/08 => NOA received for I-485 / I-765 / I-131.

11/04/08 => Biometrics appointment letter received

11/18/08 => Biometrics done

12/24/08 => Approved EAD

01/05/09 => Recived EAD

12/24/08 => Approved AP

01/02/09 => Recived AP

02/24/09 => Interview

02/24/09 => Approved I-485

03/09/09 => Received Green Card

....or your fiancé can look on the back of his cancelled check for the case number before getting the NOA1. Touches occur when your file has been handled, for whatever reason. When you register on the USCIS website for email notification you can check your case status there. If the date changes then it's most likely been touched although you won't know why it's been touched.

Glad to know your petition has finally been mailed off! As to your other question, that's hard to answer. You could do a search for other filers going through your consulate and get an idea of how long it's taking.
