Hawaii honeymoon?

After my fiance and I get married in June we would love to go on honeymoon in Hawaii. As Hawaii is part of the USA we precieve that there should be no trouble in travelling from Oregon to have a wonderful honeymoon. I know that the embassy state that one should not travel until permanent residency is obtained but only if the travelling is outside the USA. I would like some reassurance from anyone that Hawaii is fine for our honeymoon in June.

There is no problem with going to Hawaii.

05/27/2008 Lifting of Conditions sent (TSC > VSC)

06/03/2008 Check Cleared

07/08/2008 INFOPASS (I-551 stamp)

07/08/2008 Driver's License renewed

04/20/2009 Lifting of Conditions approved

04/28/2009 Card received in the mail

December 5th 05 - AOS and EAD sent

December 16th 05 - NOA's received for both AOS and EAD

December 31st 05 - Receive letter for AOS interview

February 6th 06 - AOS Interview - APPROVED

February 16th 06 - Biometrics Appointment

February 22nd 06 - EAD Approved via e mail

February 27th 06 - EAD card in mail!!!

March 6th 06 - Got a job!

March 17th 06 - Green Card Approval via e mail

March 18th 06 - 'Welcome to America' letter arrives

March 24th 06 - Green Card Arrives!

I live here, so since I'm bringing my fiancee here, it should be okay for you to also! :lol: I know Hawaii might not seem like it's part of the U.S., we have not become a Japanese province yet. :P

Just be glad you aren't here now. Worst flooding in 60 years, and contaminated beaches and water off of Waikiki. One Waikiki local man already lost one limb and is in serious condition that fell into the polluted water when the city had to dump raw sewage into the Wai Alai canal! So much for paradise! We are finally starting to dry out, but he mosquitoes are killer!

Check to make sure that where you are going is not damaged from the flooding!

It's totally fine.

I used to live there, went there like 20 times and will be always going back there...

Never had to show the passport or anything, it's like going to Cali but

the only difference is that they're strict about the plants, etc. there's the agriculture check,

they're making sure you're not bringing any plants into Hawaii

October 30, 2005 - Married in Vegas

December 27, 2005 - EAD, AP, AOS mailed

January 4, 2006 - received in Chicago

January 27, 2006 - RFE for medical received

February 13, 2006 - Medical received

February 15, 2006 - Biometrics appointment at 10 am

March 1, 2006 - AP touched

March 4, 2006 - AP received

March 8, 2006 - EAD received

March 29, 2006 - interview notice received - May 31, 2006

May 31, 2006 - Successful interview!!! Approved

June 12, 2006 - Green card received

Feb 28, 2008 - will be sending removal of conditions docs.

SSN arrived more than a month after.. GRRR!!

November 21, 2006- Received official marriage certificate

Dec. 19, 2006- sent out AOS

Jan. 3, 2007- Cashed cheques for AOS and EAD

March 15, 2007- AOS interview; APPROVED!!

March 23, 2007- Welcome letter/notice received from mail

March 27, 2007- GREENCARD

Sept 5, 2007 - my first anniversary in the U.S

Jan 30, 2009 - Mailed I-751 removal of conditional residence status

Feb 2, 2009 - Package mailed 10:22 AM at Laguna Niguel, CA (CSC)

Feb 5, 2009 - Check cashed

Feb 26, 2009 Biometrics
