Yes it was a miracle. We left home about 7:50am and took the Bart train. But we didnt realize that the train was bound for Richmond instead of San Francisco. So we got off at Ashby in Berkeley going back to SF. We were about 15 minutes early. Almost got late on our 10am appt. OKAY my hubby has a KRAZOR with a cam. OK guys, if you have a cellphone with a cam, just leave it at home or in your car and you can save 3 bucks. Cellphone with cam is not allowed inside the Homeland Security premises. So we have to cross the street to deposit my hubby's cellphone and pay $ 3 to retrieve it. What a businesss. Its like parking your car. Anyways, we gave our notice to the front desk clerk and told us to wait at the "B" section. The 15 minute wait was so tenseful and torturous for both of us even though we pretended that its just a piece of cake. And finally, our names were called. She was a black officer named Mitchell. She looks like she had a bad hang over on her period with a bit of early menopausal syndrome. She was all frowning and kind of crappy. THen she led us to her office. Sat down, grab her keyboard and printed a document, afterwhich, folded the printout as if she had prepared the doc for mailing. Then she asked us to bring out our IDs. Then flip a couple of pages from her thick folder and ask me a question. Give me all your paperworks to show that you have been living together. So I brought out my binder, well organized and pull out all the paperworks. I flip the page to where I had inserted the brochure from Joyce Meyer's, my Christian preacher that I watch on the net everyday. Then to my surprise, officer Mitchell pointed out a cutout picture of Joyce Meyer stuck under her top glass. Then she asked, do you know who that lady on your brochure? I said yes, that is Joyce Meyer and I watch her on the internet all the time. Then she asked are you going to one of her ministries? I said Im not sure if I will. The interview has transpired into a Christian conversation and we both seen her lightheartedness on the interview that unfolded into a Christian conversation, boasting off Joyce Meyer as the point of conversation. Then she asked, Did you pray before you left home? I said yes. Was your prayer answered? Im not sure. Then she started asking standard interview questions that we have been practicing for almost three days. Every question was answered with assurance and surety. She was impress about how organize our binder was. It really helps us a lot to have an organized binder as if we were about to do a business presentation. Then officer Mitchell started marking our documents and finally asked us to swear. Then she asked again, was your prayer answered? Rhetorically, she said, Yes, your prayer was answered. Oh my, my hubby, then said, yes, we'll take that as your approval. And pretensely, she said oh no. That was not your approval. And she said yes, it was approved. And she stand up and grab another picture of Joyce Meyer stuck on her tack board. Just a proof that she was really a CHRISTIAN BELIEVER like me. Its was really a miracle. We had prayed before we left home that we should be assigned to someone who believes in Jesus. Sure enough, it was not only someone who is a Christian, but also a big admirer of Joyce Meyer. The LORD has answered our PRAYERS. It was not a coincidence but it was another manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ that he really cared for us and love us and if we are not doing any evil, Jesus will always be our Guide and will show us the path to goodness. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and he will direct your paths. My hubby can't believe it either. But then, as we were walking back to the BART station, he said, it was not a coincidence, it was really a miracle.

Until then folks, we wished that everyone here on VJ will see the same miracle that we saw today. Just give all your trust to the LORD and surely you will get what you aimed for. We were so indebted to Visa Journey for all the help and guidance that you have given us. We will continue to keep in touch and hopefully make ourselves helpfull for everyone coming to the States. Thank you very much and we love all of you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,

arch & cel

Well, if you are agnostic and you wish really hard that your interviewer is not religious ;)

You might get one, and that surely will be a miracle

I am going to wish that my interviewer at the Paris embassy is a horse rider, we can discuss horses then to our mutual joy, oh how wonderful they are

Congrats! Congrats!

Rika

The separation of church and state in full effect here I see.

Congrats BTW. I hope that interviewing officer is equally nice to non-believers though.
