I got my NOA2 on the 18th of may and still no sign of my case at the NVC.

I called almost everyday since then and they have most of the times, been very rude to me.

Yesterday I called and the guy told me to read the noa2 letter for him!!! Can you believe it????

My fiance got it, he sent me a pic of it, so I was able to get it, and while I was looking for it in my documents, and told him to wait a second he said sarcastically "you didnt receive anything, did you?" like I was lying to him!!!

He made me read it and then said the NVC could take up to 90 days to process my case, and no sign of it yet.

ARGHHHHHHH what´s going on with them??? And what the hell is this way of talking to us??

Its been 39 days. =(

Anyone else experiencing it??

We got NOA-2 9 days ago, and all the time we called them they were rough to us as well telling "Ma'm it can take up to 90 days", in thier voice you can hear "don't call  anymore, we already told you..." and actually they added that USCIS will send approved cases till they will fill up the box :) But your case sounds strange, as they filled up many boxes already according to applicants timelines here on VJ.

Good luck!

One thing that can trigger a nasty response from people is to ask them a question they can't answer. They cannot answer "why" and "how long" questions when they don't have a record of receiving the case yet. Even then, some of those questions can't be answered. My dealings with NVC the three or four times I called them, were all very pleasant but they had the case and could easily answer my questions.

You will never like the stock answers when that's all they have to give you. It only ruins your conversation and mood to complain. They can't help you unless they have information but when they have it, they are happy to give it to you.

It also does no good to YELL at the people at NVC when the problem may be resident at the USCIS service center... So to answer your question there is probably nothing different going on at NVC because they are not the source of the issue...

Sapphire,

Our case has been at NVC since May 21st, and we are told we have been 'Randomly' pulled for 'checks' . In other words, AR/AP .

 ( I'm a woman, by the way)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

What are the petitions waiting for if they haven't even arrived at NVC yet??

If we look at the Visajourney timeline, the average wait time for CIS to mail to NVC is about 7 days!

They did this a bit before my approval came too, if I recall correctly.

I remember reading some similar way-slower waiting times for people approved in April. Then it sped back up again for May people. I don't know if it goes in waves or what - like they wait until they have a box this full to send it on. That's awful though - I really hope it speeds up again for you guys!

Unfortunately, since the problem is probably on the USCIS end, there's not too much to be done proactively to help. You could, of course, contact your congressmember or senator and ask for help. Even if nothing gets immediately resolved, you'll still be helping the greater good. Our representatives won't know there's a problem unless we all tell them. Go to www.house.gov, find your member, contact their district office, ask to speak to the staffer handling immigration casework, and let them know about the slowdown.

Nothing says they can fix it, but they definitely can't fix a problem they don't know about.

Pushbrk, I have NEVER been rude to them, on the contrary, I have been very patient and only call them when I´m calm, speak slowly, ask please, everything.. I know that being rude only makes things worse when it comes to that kind of case...

There were some times when they were (specially women), really nice, and tried to explain that they get thousands of cases each day and everything... but there are also the ones that seem like they´re dealing with cubans trying to jump over a fence or something like that...

40 days, still waiting...
