hi this is my first post here,this site looks helpful and i hope to find some help.My fiancee (the american) forwarded to me yesterday an email saying that her fiance (me) will have an interview in the usa consulate in casablanca on july 16.it is amazing as my honey finacee filed the k1 papers in last March and we expected that my interview will be in at least october,this is so fast i think.things come fast and we still dont have co sponsor and we dont know if we can find one before my interview (i thought to go to consulate and see if they wont ask about the affidavit of support).my fiancee bought tickets to visit me for the 2nd time,she bought them in May and she will be here the time of the interview.i want to know what to do and if it's better to ask for another appointment,although i'm affaird that they wont give me or they will cancel everything ,i want to know what if i go to consulate and they deny saying i dont have the affidavit,will they stop our papers and we have to do that again or they will give me time.we r really lost right now and hope to know what we can do.

2010-8-19 : Early biometrics

2010-9-08 : Card production ordered

2010-9-15 : Green Card received, with incorrect first name (one letter missing)

I-90

2010-9-16 : Sent I-90 with Green Card

2010-9-17 : I-90 delivered

2010-9-24 : Receipt received. Notice date: 9-22

2011-2-08 : Card production ordered

sorry i forgot to ask something,i have to make an appointment with a dr for the medical test before the interview,so what if i'll go to the doctor and make the test and then ask for another appointement ,will i have to make another medical test before the new appointment? or the 1st test will be enough for all the period. anyway i hope to not cancel the appointment.

The affidavit of support is very important, it is not possible without it. If the USC cannot be the sponsor, you will need a co-sponsor. Maybe somebody from USC's family? If you are not ready with this, you can ask the Embassy/Consulate to move your interview to a later date.

05/18/2007 E-mail from IV Frankfurt, our interview was scheduled for May 29th

05/19/2007 Packet 4 in the mail: ja ja ja interview letter

05/29/2007 Interview at 7.30 a.m. APPROVED Thank you, God!

The medical is good for a period of time: in my case it was good for 6 months.

The Affidavit of Support is no longer needed for a K-1 visa interview in Casablanca, Morocco. In your packet that the Consulate sent you, was it crossed out on the list of things needed? My fiance had one but they never asked for it and I know that more recently it had been crossed off of the list of things to bring to the interview.

I don't really understand your question. Why do you need to reschedule your interview?

It sounds like everything is ok- your fiancee is coming for the interview and that's great.

Casa no longers requires the Afidavit of Support for th econsulate interview. You only will need evidence of finacial support when youo process the AOS. See my answer in the MENA thread for more details.
