OK. I just called USCIS and spoke to an Officer Martinez who was very helpful. She advised me that they are indeed sending all applications for K1 visas back to the Nebraska service center. This is supposed to speed things up, but we shall see.

I then asked her about my specific application and she said that it is in the process of being moved to Nebraska and might in fact already be there. Either way I should use the Nebraska date as my guideline. I know that this does not clear things up completely but I hope that it is a start.

hmmmm.....So I wonder if my petition is already there or is in the process of being transferred. I just got touched and I wonder if that means it's being transferred or actually under adjudication.

I'd still like to see some kind of statement from the USCIS on this. Considering the idea all along of sending I 129fs to California was that they are supposedly wanting the service centers to be more 'specialized' in what they process.

Or so I thought!

If you're in the system, I wouldn't worry about it. They'll send your file where ever it needs to be sent.

Yep my guess earlier, and reason why I-129F, and Spouse I-130 petitions are now listed on NSC and not the others.

SEE: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=73754&hl=

Hopefully that will free up some adjudicators at CSC to process our AOS paperwork.

Thanks good to know.

She said that all of them were being moved there, and Nebraska would be the only center processing K1s........... for how long I don't know.

ALL, they dont list processing times on CSC, VSC, or TSC, just NSC now.

Right now I can only assume this will cause delays in the short term, which sucks cause I feel like my NOA2 should be right around the corner

That sucks! I just sent off my I-129F at the end of May. So now this will probably double the waiting time.

Why are we jumping to the conclusion that this will 'double' processing times?

They have always transfered some I 129fs (from TSC and NSC) and it didn't seem to help/hurt processing times. The only difference now is the center that is processing them.

and that all VSC petitions would be coming over as well.... at least that first would appear to be the case

Sweet. The only service center my application hasn't been to now is VSC. lol I sort of doubt this is really going to help efficiency...maybe for some people it will help, but for many others it's going to make the wait longer.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

True, fwaguy, but we still don't know that this will 'double' processing times (although possibly for VSCers it might - anything longer than 3 weeks, though, would be doubling for them).

Still find it odd that they've not put anything on their site about this.
