Hello, I am getting my AOS package put together so that I beat the deadline of July 30. I am looking in the Seattle-Tacoma area for this. So I am finding that NONE of the civil surgeons will do the I-693A form. (My wife got the vaccinations done in China last November, we got married in Seattle in Jan.) They all said that "they are booked up until late August to early September". When I mentioned to the people that I do not want the exam the acted like I did not know what is was talking about. If I cannot get the package in by 7-30 the fees go from $620 to $1695 (which I cannot afford).

I am very scared that since I waited to long I will lose my beloved wife and step-daughter. I am not poor at all, but I have to get this done by the 7-30.

Is there anything I can do

Brad

Calm down .. Im here to rescue you! LOL

I had the exact same problem but got it resolved really quick and simple. What you need to do is send form DS-3025 to the civil surgeon in Austin, Tx. Here is his address:

Dr. L.E. Arnold

4534 Westgate Blvd., #106

Austin, Texas 78745

Tel: (512)444-3131

If you want, you can even call his number and ask to speak to a lady named Jean. It will only cost you $10 and you can pay by money order or check!

Now take a deep breath and give them a call! :-)

Brad,

You can try submitting the DS-3025 vaccination documentation worksheet in lieu of the an I-693 vaccination supplement. Worked for my wife and many others.

Even if it doesn't work for your wife, and they get an RFE for the I-693 vaccination supplement, you got their applications submitted prior to the fee increase.

How long did it take you to get the paper from Dr Arnold? they got my DS 3025 last tuesday and i still havent gotten anything in return. I called them, Jean wasnt available and some other lady had confused my case with someone else's and it was a big mess. Today i've called them 40+ times but havent been able to reach them. My I-94 will expire july 21 so i've started to freak out...

Anastasia,

Did you leave a message? It is hard to reach them at times but be sure to leave them a message. It took me about a week or so to get my stuff from them. Don't worry, you should get it any day now. Did you also tell them your country of birth? If not, be sure to call them and leave them a message with your name and country of birth. I forgot to tell them so it took me an extra 2 days to get my papers from them.

We used Dr. Arnold too.... took us about 5 biz days to get our I-693A from him.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Did you need the complete medical examination, or just the supplement form? I used my local health department in Bremerton, WA. There was a CS that worked there, did it all for almost free. You can try that.

Hello. Just today i got my I-693A from Dr. Arnold's office and they mailed me an envelope which has a post-it that says: "This is for immigration - Do not open". I was wondering if anybody else got Dr. Arnold's papers like that; they did send me a copy of the I-693A, so, should i make another copy of that page and send it with my AOS package? or should i just open the envelope since i know it's form I-693A anyway?

I got it the same way from the civil surgeon in my area.

He put a copy of the DS-3025 and the I693A in the enveloppe and gave me a copy of each ofr my records! I sent in the sealed enveloppe! Do not open it!

Nope, do NOT open that envelope. They sent you a copy of what is inside the envelope so just leave it closed. If you open it, immigration might not accept it. No, no need to make any other copies. Im glad you finally got the paperwork!

HI BRAD

SINCE I AM IN THE SAME BOAT.....

THIS WILL MEAN A LITTLE BIT OF A DRIVE TO VANCOUVER WASHINGTON, BUT ITS WORTH IT! JUST FOUND

OUT THIS INFORMATION ...THEY MAY BE ABLE TO REFER YOU TO SOMEONE CLOSER.

called a Doctors office in Vancouver, Washington. The receptionist this time was very helpfull!

She referred me to an office in Vancouver Washington who specializes in INS cases.

360-397-8089 Anna was very helpful. They will do the transcribing for $35 - no exam needed!

GOOD LUCK!

Our I-693A was also in a sealed envelope (and we were given an exact copy).

But, if worse comes to worse, I'd have to agree with Yodrak. An RFE is better than the fees beginning on July 30th.
