I was told we suppose to get a receipt from USCIS as soon as they received it, usually you will get sth like that after 2 or 3 days after filed. We mailed out our package on May 29th, till today we havent got anything yet.

I was wondering if that receipt supposed to be received by everyone who filed as long as USCIS received ur package or only the ones send in package with certified mail?

By the way, anyone else filed with CSC recently? does anyone know how's CSC's processing progress? I know that they were pretty fast back to Feb and March.

thanks

Hi tomjerry,

We submitted our application a day after yours (May 30, 2007) with CSC. So far, the tracking number given to me by USPS says there still "no record." We are still waiting for delivery confirmation from Post Office.

As for USCIS, they will send you either a [1] Notice of Action (NOA) or Request or [2] Request For Evidence (RFE).

Most of the posts here at VJ had their checks cleared before receiving anything from USCIS. So I guess, we'll just monitor our checking account first. :)

Good luck to both of us!

it seems most of the checks in CSC were cashed after one week mailed in. except J-Manu in Vermont. I also dont know if it makes a different between Los angeles and Laguna Niguel. Hopefully they are both keeping the fast pace as the last two months.

I have some peers now in CSC, will share our timeline with others.

Till now we havent got any receipt to confirm the package has been received by CSC. (it was mailed out on 29th May). Since we didnt mail out the package by ourselves. Someone in the law office mailed it out for us, so we dont know what type of mail they mailed.

It seems most of u got confirmation when the package has been received, is that because you mailed the package with certified mail? What if its mailed by regular mail or by priority mail, is there any way u know if it has been reveived or not?

thanks

Yeah, Sean and I filed around the same time (beginning of April) and haven't received anything yet. We eventually went in to get a I-551 stamp in our Passports. Seems CSC slowed down quite a bit...

Hi, sean and Pascal,

I did look at your link, so u guys havent got NOA yet up to now? Seems CSC is slowing down, I have friends here got everything done(from mailing out to receive card) within only two months.

In my case, I dont even know if they have received my package or not, I'm still in the phase waiting for the check to be cashed...

Hope things going well for us.

I was under the impression that only Vermont gave out those receipts (anyone?).

I knew Nebraska got our application by 1. Delivery Confirmation and 2. My check was cashed.

We received the NOA1 a few weeks later and then the Biometrics Appointment Letter.

Hi tomjerry,

Can you ask your attorney whether they mailed it with priority or certified mail? I think usually you will get a tracking number either way. But it has been only a few days, I don't think there is any thing to worry about.
