what exactly is the significance of getting touched?

I saw no change in my file and then the date changed in the last status update section to 4 20. But it did not say what it did

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BEING TOUCHED?

Does it mean anything?

Does it mean something good?

A touch signifies some sort of activity on your petition, but nothing that would cause a change of status. Generally, status changes if there is a request for further evidence, or when the petition is approved.

So basically, it means they're working on it, but they're not done yet. I'd say it's a good thing. One step closer...

Still nothing.

I'm beginning to feel decidedly TracyTN and while I love her posts, I hate her timeline! Argh!

(I really keep hoping to look like a ninny after posting a whiny where's-the-NOA2 email by getting one and having to eat my words. Well, the fork is ready and I have my salt and brown sauce, so bring it on! I'll eat my words right away!)

True and not-true. Yes, he's from a country with whom we have a "special relationship" (haha), but due to some past mistakes with misunderstanding I-94 times and visa times, he was denied at a POE and sent directly home and lost his VWP privileges. This sticks him in the same unable-to-even-visit club that people from less, uh, normal? countries are in. Maybe we'll avoid the kind of admin review blackhole that those from other countries might face, but it sure feels equally long and shi++y right now.

We have pretty much the same timeline right now.
