I want to know how common is it to get stuck on the black hole of never never land of the ever so dred full security checks, AR/AP in USCIS. Doesnt it all mean the same thing? I see people are put in checks when they reach NVC or after the interview. Who else has been stuck like me at USCIS. They are not sending me a NOA2 untill they are complete checking what ever it is they are checking. I wish they would just send me the RFE or what ever it is they want so that we can move on like every one else. I wish they would keep processing our application while they keep thei seciruty checks going so that we wont lose time. We seem to be stuck here in USCIC with no end :crying: Am I the only one stuck in "furhter review" at USCIS? Why did we get stoped so soon while others reach all the way to the interview before they are in AR, AP, security checks? Do they all mean the same thing or is there a difference?

Typically it is a name hit, and unfortunately whilst most tend to clear that fairly quickly, others have taken months. Name hits can occur not only with the beneficiary and petitioner but anyone connected with the petition including a lawyer. Was there anything with your case such as previously filed petitions? Have you had anyone look into it for you? Sorry, but I haven't kept up with whats been happening.

I know it must be very frustrating for you. I hope you hear something positive soon. Hang in there.

Thanks assiewench, I have contacted my senator, congressman, and even my lawyer sent in a letter and nothing. All we keep getting back is that our petition requiers further review. Every time we send a letter or call they send us a generic response sayig that they will not make a decision untill they finish our back ground checks and to wait another 6 months. Neither I nor my husband have had previous applications. =0(
