Question about Point of Entry (POE) ?

You don't get much problem going through POE. It's nothing more than your Point of Arrival, meaning the 1st place that process your passport, i think a few folks from Dublin get check there as it's treated like a POE. but let assume you are coming to San francisco, SFO will be your POE. if NY then maybe JFK is your POE. Once you arrive at custom, you give the officer the brown envelop he officer will ask you to follow him/her to this room where they will process the papers and issue you the I-94 card, normally they will just staple it to the passport, nothing to worry, Wish you a safe journey.

I haven't done POE arrival yet, but I think that you don't get an I-94 if you are/your wife is coming in on a CR-1/IR-1 Visa. My understanding is that is for people who do not yet have permanent resident status. You will have a little interview and you'll get a stamp in your passport that acts as your temporary green card.
