Ok... so I just received my hard copy NOA1 today and decided to register my case on-line and see what the status was. When I entered the receipt number this came up:

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On February 28, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

That is great right... but I am leary being that I am a Nebraska filer and my timeline says that it will not be adjucated until June. Granted all that could change and could be sooner, but I thought those timelines were pretty close on. Don't get me wrong, this is amazing news... just don't want to get my hopes us too soon. Is it possible they entered the wrong information or gave me someone else's receipt numer? Not trying to be all down about this, but it is hard enough waiting and do not want to celebrate when I were to actually have a few months left to wait. Guess all I can do is wait to receive the notice in the mail or call the service center on Monday to see if this is true. What does anyone else think? Thanks in advance.

11/01/06: He proposed marriage :)

02/17/07: I-129F Sent to NSC

02/23/07: I-129F NOA1

02/28/07: I-129F NOA2 (found out while checking on-line)

03/02/07: Received hard copy NOA1

03/08/07: Received hard copy NOA2

03/13/07: NVC sent packet to La Habana

03/27/07: Telegram "sent" to fiance to pick up packet 3... never received

04/02/07: I contacted the "embassy" to find out status of case and set up pick up date

04/04/07: Fiance picked up packet 3

04/05/07: I called toll-free # here to set up appointment for my fiancé

05/10/07: Interview scheduled for 7:30AM... Visa Approved!!!!!!!!

05/14/07: Picks up passport/visa and brown sealed envelope

05/15/07: Paperwork for the carta blanca turned in

05/24/07: Carta Blanca received and bought plane ticket

06/04/07: Entry into the US... together again!!!!!!!

08/07/07: MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That seems really strange... Are you sure you filed at Nebraska? I won't be surprised if your case was filed to Vermont because they approve cases so quickly.

It is real strange and that is why I am questioning the whole thing and finding it hard to even celebrate. I sent it to Nebraska where it was signed for. I know it was sent to California because the NOA1 receipt I received today came from California. So honestly I do not know what is going on. So until I receive further notice in the mail or am able to call the service center I am taking this as a mistake. Just don't want to get my hopes up.

2-6-07 NSC received USPS mail, NSC then to CSC

2-15-07 NOA1 -file received

2-16-07 check cashed

2-23-07 touched

5-4-07 NOA2 approval -email

5-13-07 sent cancellation request letter

6-7-07 we're going to retry with a K-3

8-6-07 married in Thailand (dual language, dual representation prenuptial)

8-7-07 sent K3 from Bangkok

9-10-07 I-130 NOA1, (received at CSC 8-9-07)

10-9-07 sent I-129F to CSC

11-1-07 touched I-130

requested consular processing I-130 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf)

Wow... that seems fishy, you know. You even break the record of those who filed and got approved at VSC. NOA2 in 7 days? That alone can make me freak out... Let's just hope they did not make a mistake... I would hate it...

Thank you all for responding. I know this is not the biggest thing in the world and heck would be some amazing news... but it is all too fishy and thus I had to get some second opinions. And I am of course the first that is hoping this is true and as mentioned a fellow Cubano got my file... here's to wishing. I guess I just have to wait it out. That is some good advice to pm Huskerviev (did I get that right?). Thanks again!

You are correct there. I am so hoping this is true.

Damn thats lucky.

Which is exactly why I am so leary of this... I am never lucky like this. Here's hoping for a change in luck and that it is not just someone's mistake at the California Service Center.
