Hey guys

I was just wondering what reasons any of you have had an RFE for during AOS.

Apparently Ive got one on its way and I have no idea what it could possibly be for. I really thought Id covered all the bases and sent more than was needed. Obviously I was wrong :unsure:

Anyways, just curious what things you have been asked to submit........

There's been a buch of RFEs for stuff that the person had already submitted, so they just re-submitted whatever they asked for.

Most of them seem to be for the affidavit of support.

It's pretty common to receive requests for tax returns & other supporting documents for the I-864.

Our RFE was for tax returns even though we thought we had sent enough. We sent as much as we possibly could & it seems to be ok as our case has recently been transferred to CSC.

11/26/2004 - Met in UK as students

06/15/2006 - K-1 Visa received

09/23/2006 - Arrived at Newark Intl. Airport

10/27/2006 - Received SSN

11/26/2006 - Our wedding day!! (2 years from the day we met)

12/22/2006 - Filed AOS, EAD & AP

12/29/2006 - NOAs for AOS, EAD & AP

01/17/2007 - Biometrics Appointment in Philly

01/17/2007 - Email Notice of RFE for I-864

01/23/2007 - RFE received in mail - envelope open!

01/29/2007 - RFE mailed back to MSC

02/02/2007 - RFE received by USCIS & case processing resumed

02/09/2007 - AOS transferred to CSC

02/27/2007 - AOS *Touched* (case now pending at CSC)

03/14/2007 - EAD card production ordered

03/16/2007 - EAD Approval notice sent

03/19/2007 - Received EAD & AP in mail

07/11/2007 - Card Production Ordered! (Green Card on its way!!)

Many people get RFE's after the transfer to CSC ..

Sadly a CSC transfer doesn't necessarily mean you are free from any more RFE's.

The RFE can even be for something as simple as forgetting to sign a form, attachment, etc.

Hopefully, yours won't be for anything too serious and you will get your approval shortly after you return the requested documents.

Did you keep an exact duplicate copy of the package that you submitted? It sure makes it nice when they ask for something you actually sent and it is a big relief if they lose your submission totally.
