Hey guys. We at last got your interview (Feb 8), but now we are wondering what about when they deliver the Visa??

Our issue....I'm flying out there Feb 10 and we are planning to be in London (or maybe somewhere else) for at least a week after I arrive (until Sat the 17th about). Is there any way to schedule when the Visa delivery is (as I know it takes about a week)? Or can we pick it up in London when it's ready?

(Also, on Sat the 24th or maybe Friday 23rd) we will be back in London to take me to the airport)

So is there a way to schedule the delivery of the Visaed Passport? Also what happens if it doesn't come until after I leave and Pjc is at work?? Do they get both addresses and try delivering to both? (of course I find something else to worry about now! lol)

Congratulations on your interview! My fiance had his interview at the US Embassy in London and the visa was delivered two days later, so the service is pretty fast. I don't think there's any way to pick up the visa or select a specific date for delivery, especially since you get not only the visa, but also a packet of information (that you can't open) with it as well.

cool thanks. We are hoping that we can get away with him going home, then leaving for London again on Saturday night, picking me up at the crack of dawn on Sunday, then go back to the flat (wiltshire) and wait longer if we have to. Just kinda dampers our plans for Valentines as we won't know if we can go anywhere until the interview..He's going to try and call the helpline tomorrow and see if they can tell us about how long it would take.

You CAN schedule it as a "before 8am" delivery only. This is an extra 20 quid or so. Other than that, you can't pick and choose a date for delivery.

If you are out when they try to call they will leave a slip with a number on it for you to phone and rearrange delivery. THEN you can chose a certain date for the second (and it is the last) attempt.

On average it takes up to 5 days, but other people (including me) have had to wait far longer.
