I filed a K1 visa petition in November and have since met me fiance again, How do I update?

I filed my I129-F petition in late October 2006 and received my 1797C around the second week of November 2006. Since that time I have visited my fiance again in his country and I called USCIS to see how I could update my application with the new pictures and the plane ticket, but I was told to just hold off unless I was asked for more information. I was a little taken aback because this is more evidence of a relationship and I think it bolsters my case.

Anyway, the woman told me it probably wouldn't be put with my file anyway.

So what should I do?

You don't need to update your petition with all the new visit evidence, etc. Hang on to that evidence for either an RFE (if you get one) or for your visa interview, as proof of an ongoing relationship.

It's in their hands now, and you need to be ready with exactly what they ask for. Sorry, but it's not up to you to "bolster your case" with new evidence. Just sit back and relax.

Save that evidence and pictures for your visa interview, this comes under ongoing relationship evidence, such as email logs, chat logs, phone bills since sending in the petition.

As others have said, DO NOTHING. If your case wasn't strong enough when you sent it and you receive an RFE, you now have more evidence. If you send it without them asking, it will never meet up with your file as you were told.

All you can do now is save that for the interview, there's no such a thing as updating the petition.

Lots of people would visit their fiance(e)s again after sending the petition, or build up more evidence of their relationship. If everyone was trying to send that evidence in and have it meet up with their file, things would be very chaotic and take even longer than they do now! USCIS wants to know that you've met in person during the two years prior to filing the petition - so long as you sent sufficient evidence of that, as well as everything else they asked for, that's all you can do. If they want more evidence of anything, they'll send you an RFE. Either way - keep hold of the boarding cards etc from this visit, as well as photos and so on, to take to the visa interview - it's all good proof of on ongoing relationship between the two of you.
