It seems that JFK airport in New York City is the only (POE) point of entry which will provide the "much desired" employment stamp. Is this still the case? Why can't they give out that stamp at any poe?

I think it's because there's usually such a gap that the temp EAD runs out long before the year-long EAD is issued. If you are employed using the temp EAD and don't recieve your regular EAD in time, you're out of luck and have to stop working. IMHO, it's a pain in the butt and I won't be surprised to see JFK phase out giving them out in the near future. This is just my speculation.

I hope not, as we intend to get this stamp soon. Otherwise fiance will "go nuts", if can't work for three months. At least will be able to work immediatly upon arrival while awaiting the regular EAD, which should take 3 months to aquire. :)

Just remember, one can't apply for the regular EAD until one is married, and can't work immediately once in the US until a SSN number is obtained. Since it usually takes a minimum of two weeks for one's name to enter the SSN system, you'll have some waiting to do. And you may find that potential employers may shy away from an employee who may have to suspend work while waiting for paperwork.

I'd also do some timeline checking to see how EAD processing times are going.

I am not trying to rain on your parade, but just want you to be aware of the issues. Getting a job here in the US is not a quick process, IMHO.

Let us know how it turns out! My fiance is coming via JFK just so he can get the stamp, even if it only lets him work for only a while (it lasts the 90 days correct?)

When filing for an EAD (when filing AOS) does the temp stamp still go until the end of the 90 days at least?

I found my fiance a temp job at my company so as long as he has a stamp he can work till it runs out right?

Anyone know of a site I can check out about companies hiring immigrants with a SS # & only an EAD Stamp? Then later with an EAD card? I mean, what we as the company have to file? My co-worker (in accounting) handed me a copy of the Employee Eligibility Verification.

The temp stamp goes the 90 days until the K1 would expire, yes.

He would need an SSN - Kelle, and that takes about 2-3 weeks to get. So you can get married right away & file AOS/EAD but he couldn't work til he got his SSN.
