Has anyone ever had any success filing an expidited fiance visa case?

Hello, I am new on this VJ. I am wondering if anyone has ever been successful with expiditing your fiance visa application. I sent our application in last week>

I hope to get it expidited due to an extreme emergent situation. Has anyone ever filed this way, if so, were you turned down or accepted?

I don't think I have heard of an extreme emergent situation that has qualified.

YMMV

I'm not sure you'd want to expidite in your situation. According to your timeline, you've met quite recently. We had a recent case of a VJ member going through Morocco who had met her fiance online in May, met him in person in June or July, and then was interviewed in October. The consular denied them. One of the reasons was that they didn't believe the validity of the relationship, because they hadn't known each other long enough (If I remember correctly).

10/14/05 - married AbuS in the US lovehusband.gif

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

The only expedited ones I have heard about were when the USC was in the military. I believe there has been a few of those posted on this site.

I have never heard of anyone expediting their fiance visa application due to an emergent situation. Without knowing what the emergent situation is, it makes it even more difficult to answer your question.

But I do agree with the previous poster about your relationship being very recent and that you may want to let some time go by to prove you have an ongoing bona fide relationship with more visits, phone calls, letters, etc.

Good luck with your journey.

There have been some in the Military that have been approved, however I haven't seen many others. We may be able to give you a better idea if we knew the situation, but of course that is not something you need to reveal.

Worse you can do, is try... just don't be shocked if they deny your request.

Best of Luck

ETA: Not sure if this counts as an expedite or not though. But it got him an approval.

Your right I don't think it does....at least not in the apparent context of the OP

YMMV

Andy's case doesn't look like the type of expedited case this is thread is talking about. Not to sound to depressing, but it is very unlikely you would get special treatment. The USCIS has been talking about some special quick processing set ups, but those involve paying extra fees, and I don't believe they have been implemented.

I'd say you are probably looking at the same time line as most everyone else sent to CSC.

Thank you for all of your responses. If it is not approved to be expidited, I have not lost anything. One thing for sure is that we have plenty of proof of our relationship. Not oly have we talked on the phone almost daily, we have talked on the messenger for 3-4 hours daily since the moment we have met. I also have proof that I was pregnant but lost the baby. I sent that in as well. That surely has got to prove a relationship.

I apologize and I am a bit confused but I do not see a reason to expedite due to an emergent situation....

I had an emergent medical situation occur and requested an expedite after the petition was already at the consulate. My request was granted within 24 hours and the interview was scheduled 2 months early. What is the nature of your situation?
