Any London interviews for Nov or Dec yet?

Has anyone who sent packet 3 back in October had an interview date yet? I sent my back Oct 12 and looking at Time Line histories it seems to take between 6 -8 weeks from sending it off it the interview date.

My dilemma is that I would like to fly to the USA 2nd Jan. I am going to rent my house out and I need a month I think to sort the house to look it's best for renters, pack my stuff to have it shipped, catch up with people, plan my wedding and also Xmas falls in the middle.

Therefore I need to finish work on 2nd December and I have to give a months notice, which means I need to resign this Friday.

I'm just paranoid that I resign and then my interview doesn't come through until January, which means can't leave 2nd January so I could have worked longer and saved some more money.

What does everyone think. If I take the risk and resign do you all think my interview will be before January?

Opinions greatly appreciated.

Also my Wedding is planned for Vegas 17 Jan 2007. Deposit has been put down but the date can be moved if needed. A lot of my family and friends have surprised me by saying that they would like to attend. I've told everyone not to book anything until I know when my interview date is. Do you think once I know when it is, it would be safe for them to book their flights?

I know it all depends on me passing the interview, but I really can't see any reason why I won't. Had my Medical yesterday which was fine - At the new Medical place on Bentinck Street. First day they opened. Also just to let everyone going through London know. The blood it tested for HIV and Syphilis only. Nothing else at all is tested for.

Drugs, other diseases etc they just rely on you being honest on the questionnaire as they can't ask for your Doctors records either. Very chatty Doctor I had. I'm not sure he should have told me all of that but might make some of you feel better about the Medical.

I called the Embassy as a US Citizen to help expitdite the process and Annie contacted her MP, who called the charge d' affairs as the US Embassy. We got the interview when we needed it.

That sucks. But yeah, I guess you are pissing them off! I would def. stop. Maybe they are holding out cuz of all your emails!?!

Ugh that sucks! Have you tried calling the DOS instead? I got more information from them than we ever did from London.

Hi, I am applying for the CR1, so waiting times may be different, but not according to the ever-so (un)friendly man on the phone at the embassy! So here goes-

I sent all my stuff in mid-september, and just got my interview date confirmed yesterday for 28th November, so hopefully you should be ok?!

If you call the embassy and ask them what is happening, they told me that all my stuff had been 'qualified'-his words, not mine! on 21st September, then it should take up to 12 weeks beyond that date to get the interview date, but mine took 6 weeks.

Oh dear. If you sent back your documents in September and have only got an interview date for 28 November. Will mine be in January due to those 2 weeks in December when not much will happen due to Xmas and New Year.

It'a about 6-8 weeks from sending P3 to interview, when are you returning P3?

12 October so even at 8 weeks that would be around 12 December, which is fine.

Okay must go and type my resignation.

I sent my packet 3 back mid-October. I phoned today to ask if there was any update - the lady on the other end of the phone told me first that packet 4 was sent yesteday ( woooooop!!!), and then said "Oooops, sorry. Read the dates wrong. That was your packet 3 back in October."

She told me my information weny up on the system yesterday, and because I had sent in the form saying I had all the relevant documents, that would go up on the system tomorrow. She also said that I probably had a 6 week wait now until I get my interview date, and then another couple of weeks wait until the actual date. I'm hoping she's wrong, as I REALLY want to be there by Christmas. Am now wandering whether to book a trip in November, or whether the packet will come while I'm away. I really want this ####### to be over with. Really.

Sorry, I know everyone else is in the same boat, or worse. Hope you get your date in time to fit in with your plans.

Sami- If you don't have your P3 yet, it's highly unlikely you will have an interview by Xmas. With the US holidays (Thanklsgiving & Xmas) the typical 8 weeks will put you into January I think.

my hubby sent off his packet 3 the first week of october and his interview is NOV 7th. sounds like you should be getting yours any day now!!!!!

We are applying for a K-3 visa out of London, and our Package 3 was received by the embassy on 23 October (we sent the package registered mail). We haven't received Package 4 / interview letter yet, and we're starting to get anxious too! Like everyone else, we really want to get to the US before Christmas. The timelines seem very random though- some people got their interviews much faster than others. Good luck to all of the others waiting for an interview date....
