Hi to all that undergo I-751 or anyone who have a knowledge,

I just wondered if is your maiden's name or your married name in your Notice Receipt of I-751?

My greencard in under my married name as well as my I-751 application. I'm just worried that my receipt notice as well as my biometric appointment were all under my old name (unmarried name). My biometric appointment gonna be this November 8, 2006.

I would be thankful if anyone can reply or give suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

Your receipt will be issued under the name you used when you applied for the benefit. i.e. if you filed I-751 with your married name then the receipt for I-751 will come in your married name.

I submitted my I-751 in September in my new married name. My 2-year Green Card is in my new married name. When my NOA and Biometrics appointment letters arrived, they were both in my previous last name. I was very concerned about that because I did not want my 10-year GC to come in the wrong name.

At my Biometrics appointment, I told them that the names on the NOA and Biometrics letters were wrong, and they took my 2-year Green Card, and my Washington state Driver's Licence (which are both in my new married name) and got a supervisor to change it in the computer. They returned my GC and Driver's Licence to me right after the supervisor approved the name change. My new 10-year GC will now arrive in the my new married name.

So, make sure you address this issue when you go for your Biometrics appointment.
