My fiancee passed her interview at the US Embassy in Manila, received her visa and was approved to come to the USA on a K1 Fiancee visa. I purchased plane tickets for myself and my fiancee and I will be leaving in October to the Philippines where I will stay for 2 weeks to help my fiancee pack her belongings and to spend time with her family before we fly back to gether to the US. Am I allowed to escort my fiancee back into the US ? Or does she have to fly here alone? I am asking because someone from this site said they did not think that was allowed and that my fiancee would have to fly to the US alone. Is that true? Does anyone know the answer to that. I never heard of such a thing.

You can fly back together, but you may not be allowed into the immigration process area with her (two separate processing lines). You can wait in baggage claim or if there is a place sit nearby.

Have a safe flight!

I'm sure you can fly with your fiancée, and I didn't see the comment you're referring to, but perhaps it was suggested that you might not be able to be with her during any inspection. Typically, there are 2 lines at the POE, one for US residents, and one for others. While I've not tried it, myself, I can't imagine why a US citizen couldn't go through the "others' line. Perhaps someone who has tried or done it will respond.

My husband (then fiance) was with me, too.

We were waiting for a while in the "Others" line when they suddenly opened a new line saying "New Immigration". We switched to that line and went through together. Took approx. 2 minutes for the officer to open my brown envelope, stamp the necessary pages and we were good to go!

Enjoy the moment!

That's why I love this site so much. I had that exact same question, but never posted it. It will be a while before my fiance gets to be in the U.S. with me (I filed in late June, and still haven't submitted my RFE stuff, I will soon, I promise). Anyway, I was wondering that same thing because I want to go down to Mexico and bring him home with me. We're planning (and keeping our fingers crossed) everything is ready (and approved) by April so that I can go during my spring break from work and pick him up. This makes me happy to know that we can come back together, woo hoo!

You should not have any problems coming back with her at all. The only thing will be passing through customs, in which case, you have the U.S. citizen line and she has the long "other" lines. You should take most of the bags with you (easier pass through) and let her carry only minimal things. Then find a good place to sit and wait. She'll be fine and all you have to do is tell the customs officers you are waiting for your fiancee. Usually they are understanding about that.

Have a great trip over and back. Congratulations!!!
