Ok,one more paranoid question ;)

(Forgive me if I am starting to bore you but I really dont have anyone else to ask.)

I came to the States(legally)on a B2 visa(Visitors visa).......

Is the information that I had to give the embassy in Sweden to get that Visa already saved at the USCIS?

Will immigrations in the States have direct access to them?

How does it work?

Yes it is saved. Did you tell them one and then do another?

You should just come out with your concerns--either here, or with a lawyer. (ref your other thread)

Well, after thinking a bit more about it...

I THINK that I worried that it might be more difficult to get AOS because I am here on a B2 VISA and not on a fiance-visa.....

So in a way you are right, meauxna,I am scared.

(To get the B2 visa I still had to go for an interview, show proof of my financial situation, prove that I has never been in trouble with the police.....show an invitation letter from friends in the States....)

Anyone else here who entered the US on a B2?

Ahhh...I tend to worry about EVERYTHING these days..... :o:wacko::unsure::crying::(

I'm still trying to work out your situation......... so you're here in the US on a B2 and intend to apply for AOS??? or are you gonna go back to Sweden and get a visa (say K1) to settle here???

I had a B2 visa first, used it once and then decided to go back to the UK and get a K1 visa to enter the US and be with my loved one... the B2 had no effect on my K1.

we need a little more info to give you better advice!

Hi,

I entered on a B1 visa, and have applied tpo adjust my status. It doesnt matter that you are adjusting from a B2 AS LONG AS you didnt enter the US on it with an intent to remain. If you did then to adjust your status would be commiting immigration fraud, and you will need to return to your home country and apply for a K1. If you did not intend to remain on entry, this will need to be proven to the USCIS. e.g. by displaying return flight tickets etc. It also causes suspicion if you get married very soon after entry on the B1/B2 visa.

Ok,I DID NOT enter the US with the intention to get married.

My marriage was not planned.

But how on earth will I prove that?

Well I dont have any return flight tickets or such- so I have had concerns about proving I never intended to remain. But as I didnt get married until 10 months after my arrival this works in my favour. Nor did I even know of T's existance before I came to the states, so I will be taking to my interview print outs of out emails- ranging from when we first met online to us making plans for me to move to vegas with him. Letters from friends and family also confirming this may help.

My main thing is just trusting that the truth will prevail

But I cant do more then tell the truth to the USCIS-officers....

I didnt plan to marry.

I still have copies of a job contract/Letter of the job that I planned to start in Feb. 2007(Back in Europe).

(I was planning to stay in the US for 6 months...travel around a bit...and go home to Sweden and continue job and education.)

Would that and writings from family and friends about this matter do any good?
