Don't think this has been posted yet. Way to go Canuks!

Canada university in campaign row

A small Canadian university has sparked controversy with its recruitment drive by using posters and a website mocking US President George W Bush.

Lakehead University in northern Ontario set up http://www.yaleshmale.com in a bid to attract potential new students.

It shows a picture of Yale graduate Mr Bush with the caption: "Graduating from an Ivy League university doesn't necessarily mean you're smart."

Wow... Thats just pathetic. Didnt expect this from Canada. wow., Well on the other hand, if they want to recruit marginalized liberals with inferiority complex and attitude, may be this might just work. Who knows, their parents might be able to pay high tuition fees.

Politics aside, if I wanted to go to that Canuk school, I'd change my mind after seeing this.

It's immature, bitter, unbecoming of a university, etc...just really bad imo

I'd actually agree to an extent. I wouldn't really want to attend a university with a gimmicky ad campaign. But then again colleges here don't really advertise the way the ones in some other countries do.

omg I almost thought this was a thread for an exclusively shemale student body

HAHAHAH

I thought that

It's just a gimmick. I don't see any problem with it - especially after seeing GWB being interviewed on MSNBC last night in which he said in answer to one question about a Camus book he allegedly read that "I try to keep expectations low".

God, I saw that last night too and almost spit my drink out. Hey, at least he's honest - my expectations of him ARE low

Managing expectations down is a common management practice.

Of course, the other side of that is actually exceeding those low expectations.

Its true that if you continually set expectations low, people "should" never really be disappointed. But what works in business does not necessarily translate well into politics where perception is just as important as results. So telling people not to expect too much sounds a little ridiculous.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
